The OSH Act was designed so that everyone in the workforce would have as safe an environment as possible. This Act ensured that there would be a set of standards put forth that would ensure that employees and employers would both be aware of what constituted "safety" in a working environment, and the actions that could be taken if a workplace was not made safe for everyone involved.
