If the results of a study do not support a hypothesis, it means that the experiment failed. is this true or false

Not exactly. A hypothesis is an educated guess made based on observations and prior knowledge of the subject. The hypothesis can always be wrong and the experiment completely valid, it just means that something about your observations doesn't line up with the hands on project.
