Now we know that he is getting a raise by 9%.

So that means we have to find out what is 9% of $58,000.

we can do this by multiplying them.

But first we turn 9% into a decimal.

9% = 0.09

Lets multiply

0.09 x $58,700 = $5,283

So since this is a raise we have to add that 9% to our first value.

$58,700 + $5,283 = $63983

So Frank now earns in his new salary $63,983
